In mid-1913, she was in Dundee supporting a the C Class submarines of the Seventh Submarine Flotilla. She continued serving with the Seventh Submarine Flotilla 1914-16, then for various flotillas at Humber, Berehaven and Blyth
Renamed Defiance III in 1931
