| Fate: | On 29th August 1915 Submarine C29 (Lieutenant Commander William R Schofield) ran into an unknown mine field off of the Humber and the submarine was lost with all hands. C29 was working with the trawler Ariadne in an operation against U-Boats. At the time, C29 was being towed whilst dived and was in contact with the Ariadne when the mine exploded. |
