1939Seahorse (S98)HMS Seahorse fires four torpedoes against the German submarine U-36 in the North Sea. All torpedoes fired missed their target.
1941Tigris (N63)HMS Tigris fires four torpedoes against a merchant of 3000 tons in a German convoy in Lopphavet about 10 nautical miles west of Loppa Island, Norway. All four torpedoes missed.
1942Talisman (N78)HMS Talisman left Gib for passage to Malta, where she was due no later than the 18th. Messages were received from the submarine on the 14th but she failed to arrive at Malta. The Italians claim to have sunk a submarine on the 17th to the north west of Malta. this is believed to have been the Talisman
1942United (P44)HMS United sinks the small Italian merchant Rostro and the Italian auxiliary submarine chaser V 39/Giovanna with gunfire near Misurata, Libya.
1942Traveller (N48)2.5 miles south of Cape Archangelo (Rhodes), HMS Traveller picked up Lt. David Sutherland and Marine Duggan of the SBS (Special Boat Service, operation ANGLO), ten other members of the party failed to make the rendezvous and were captured.
