1916E12Able Seaman John Flynn O/N 199688 (Dev) was a member of the crew of Submarine E12 and served at the Dardanelles. He was accidentally drowned in Mudros Harbour and was buried in the East Mudros Military Cemetery on the island of Lemnos in Grave III.F.184.

1943O24 (Dutch)O24 encountered a Japanese submarine about 20 nautical miles southwest of Penang. Due to the bad visibility, the submarine was sighted at very close range. An attack with torpedoes was not possible. O24 could not be brought in position to fire torpedoes before contact was lost in the bad visibility.
