1939Ursula (N59)British HMS Ursula fired the first British submarine torpedoes of the war when attacking German U-35. The U-boat escaped
1941O24 (Dutch)Torpedoed and sank the Italian merchant Italo Balbo about 10 nautical miles west of Elba Island, Italy.
1942O23 (Dutch)Made a torpedo attack on a Japanese merchant vessel about 40 nautical miles southwest of Phuket. Two torpedoes were fired but both missed their target.
1943Welman 10Midget submarine "Welman 10" sank alongside depot ship HMS Forth. The commander (Lt B Pedersen of the Norwegian Army) makes an unaided escape to the surface. There are no casualties
