'He was lost overboard from a skiff when returning from Arrochar, Loch Long to the Submarine which was moored to a buoy in the Loch. Although reported to be a strong swimmer he was weighed down by his clothing and boots and was drowned. Donald McLeod was the son of Edward and Jean Campbell McLeod.
