1906 C 10 (I 30) Laid Down
1916 E 53 Launched
1941 Upholder (N 99) HMS Upholder attacks the Italian merchant Motia and the Italian tanker Delfin west of Tripoli, Libya. All torpedoes missed and Upholder was depth charged by the Italian torpedo boat Aldebaran.
1942 Thunderbolt (N 25) HMS Thunderbolt fires four torpedoes against the Italian torpedo boat Solferino in the Ionian Sea.
1942 Thorn (N 11) The Italian submarine Medusa was sunk in the Adriatic near Promontore, Istria, Italy by the British submarine HMS Thorn.
1943 Safari (P 211) HMS Safari sinks the Italian ships Aniello and Gemma with gunfire of Cape Scalea, Italy.
1945 Tantalus (P 318) HMS Tantalus sinks the Japanese fishing vessel Taisei Maru No. 12 with gunfire off Bangka Strait.
1945 Sea Devil (P 244) Launched
1945 Astute (P 447) Launched

German U-Boats at Sea
Historical documentary which explores the efforts of German soldiers during World War II.

The outbreak of the Second World War meant that both sides had to concentrate a huge amount of their workforce on rearmament, with large amounts of supplies being delivered by air.

The German army relied heavily on their U-boats, and with ambush tactics devised by their creator, Admiral Doentitz, they became a dangerous force on the water.

The programme includes rare footage of former captains and U-boats in action.
