1941 Talisman (N 78) HMS Talisman torpedoes and sinks the Italian merchant Calitea some 90 miles south of Cape Matapan.
1941 WWII Germany and Italy declare war on the US. The US Congress declares war on Germany and Italy
1941 Torbay (N 79) HMS Torbay sinks the Greek sailing vessel Sofia with gunfire north-west of Suda Bay, Crete.
1941 Truant (N 68) HMS Truant torpedoes and heavily damages the Italian torpedo boat Alcione north of Crete.
1941 O 24 (Dutch) Attacked the German submarine U-652 with three torpedoes about 15 nautical miles west of Ustica Island. No hits were obtained.
