| 1940 | Thames (N 71) | HMS Thames was on her first war patrol when she went missing. She had sailed from Dundee on 22nd July to patrol in the North Sea. On the 22nd July Thames successfully attacked the German torpedo boat Luchs just west of the Skagerrak. The Luchs was acting as part of a screen for the battle cruiser Gneisenau, which is believed to been her original target, and that the Luchs had manoeuvred between the submarine and the battle cruiser just as the former fired her torpedoes. The shortened range and the ensuing explosions may have been the cause of the loss of the Thames although the favoured opinion is that the submarine struck a mine on the night of 2nd/3rd August. |

| 1942 | Traveller (N 48) | HMS Traveller attacked the German merchant Pluto with two torpedoes off Mulo Island. No hits were obtained. The coastal battery at Scoglio Mulo fired three shells at the submarine. |
| 1943 | Unruffled (P 46) | HMS Unruffled sinks Italian merchantman Citta di Catania |
| 1944 | Vox (P 73) | HMS Vox fires two torpedoes at an enemy auxiliary patrol vessel south of Santorini Island, Greece. Both torpedoes miss. |
| 1945 | Shalimar (P 242) | HMS Shalimar sinks a Japanese tug and a barge with gunfire in the southern part of the Strait of Malacca. |
| 1945 | Tiptoe (P 332) | HMS Tiptoe torpedoes and sinks the Japanese salvage vessel Tencho Maru off the Sunda Strait. |
| 1945 | Sidon (P 259) | Sidon arrived at Subic Bay in the Philippines after completing her patrol. Sidon completed her time in the Far East by being present in Hong Kong harbour when it was reoccupied by the British after the Japanese surrender. |
| 1958 | USS Nautilus | USS Nautilus is first ship to reach the geographic North Pole submerged. |
