In December 1944, Tiptoe was fitting out at Portsmouth in preparation for a deployment to the Far East. Ronald is reported to have died in the Royal Naval Hospital at Chatham, he had been suffering from tubercular meningitis, pulmonary tuberculosis and generalised miliary tuberculosis.' |
