Fired last torpedo of WWII on 18th August 1945.
Statesman was modified after the war into a high speed target boat for use in training anti-submarine forces. Her hull and casing was strealined and the gun armament removed. Higher capacity batteries were fitted and her motors uprated.
This boat was loaned to the French Navy for Anti-Submarine Training and renamed Sultane, 1952 to 5th November 1959.
