Official USN Sources
Here and here - these sites publish the original Fleet Submarine Manual, a great example of how a technical manual should be prepared for the man joining for the first time through to the needs of experienced crew - wonderful drawings. The detail of the unconverted submarine enables the understanding of the construction of the unconverted submarine. As appropriate some data from these USN manuals has been used in this article in reference to pre-conversion detail.
