Sickle fired four torpedoes at it, one of which hit and sank the vessel and another which hit a cliff on the shore directly below a casino. This event resulted in James Ralph Drummond, the Lieutenant on HMS Sickle, being dubbed 'The man who broke the bank at Monte Carlo'. |
